Steph Sanders

L.Ac, M.CM, Dipl.OM.

she/her/hers

Specialties: mental health (anxiety, depression, eating disorders), reproductive and menstrual health, musculoskeletal pain/injuries

An enthusiastic animal lover, Steph’s first exposure to acupuncture and herbal medicine was through her special needs rescue dog, Stella, who began receiving East Asian Medicine routinely as a puppy due to a physical deformity. After seeing the clear effects the medicine had on her dog, Steph was prompted to start her own journey and healing with acupuncture. After years of struggling with mental health issues and disordered eating, she discovered the benefits that holistic health and East Asian medicine modalities had on her mind, body, and spirit as she navigated through the highs and lows of treatment and recovery.

Steph is passionate about providing a space of healing that is safe, nurturing, reassuring, and encouraging. She is interested in treating mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, and eating disorders, reproductive and menstrual health, as well as musculoskeletal pain and injuries. Always smiling and sharing a laugh, Steph loves to build connections with people and meet them where they are in their healthcare journey. She is dedicated to create a space of inclusivity and holds appreciation of East Asian Medicine and its history in high regard.

Steph is a Licensed Acupuncturist with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and is certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN in 2020. While in school, Steph spent several semesters working at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital, providing inpatient care to kids and teens, as well as their families and hospital staff. She also provided acupuncture at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute to patients seeking relief after experiencing stroke, traumatic brain, and spinal cord injuries.

Steph always makes me feel comfortable even when talking about hard subjects. I leave the appointment feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. My anxiety and depression is well managed now because of acupuncture.
