We believe that everyone deserves healing.

A practitioner taking the pulse of an acupuncture patient

For some of you, the fight against racism, systemic oppression, and injustice may be part of the work you already do in the world; for others, you may just be awakening to this consciousness. Many of us are feeling the urgency of this moment, and yet, we know that transformative healing and systemic change take time, collaboration, and commitment.

As business owners, practitioners, and individuals, we are dedicated to continuing a practice of listening, learning, and un-learning, and strive to be actively anti-racist. Confronting racism, oppression, and injustice is a vital part of healing work. We are focusing on intentional, long-term strategies to support collective healing and liberation, taking cues from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), LGBTQIA2S+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Two Spirit, and beyond), and chronically ill and disabled educators, activists, and leaders whose work we value and financially support. Some of these strategies include providing anti-racism education resources to our team, examining how we can increase accessibility to our services while simultaneously improving our referral network, and taking steps to widen our recruitment pipeline for future new hires.

While we acknowledge that there is more work to be done - dismantling oppression systemically and internally is a lifelong process - we are proud to have long-standing practices in place to build upon. We want to share with you what steps we have taken to support the community, redistribute financial resources, and provide increased access to care.

Community Giving

Community giving is built into our business. As two white women of European ancestry who own and make our living from a Chinese medicine clinic, we believe in honoring the culture and people from which this medicine came. Since 2018, we have donated a percentage of our clinic’s gross income to local organizations that support East and Southeast Asian communities. We will continue to make sustaining financial contributions to support Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander peoples and cultural heritage here in Minnesota.

We also acknowledge that we can do more to support accessible, affordable healthcare and mutual aid, especially for BIPOC individuals. One way that we are committing to this is by expanding our community giving program by making sustaining contributions to Minnesota Healing Justice Network’s “New One Percent” initiative. The Minnesota Healing Justice Network is a collective of over 100 healing justice practitioners, activists, and organizers, focused on centering BIPOC, queer, transgender and working class individuals and communities. Funds from the New One Percent initiative will provide direct financial support to practitioners and organizers, to support them in their work. Learn more about Minnesota Healing Justice Network here.

When you support our business, know that a portion of your purchase goes to supporting these organizations and the individuals and communities they serve.

Reduced Rates

Our reduced rate program is currently full and not accepting new patients. We will update the information on this page when that changes.

Everyone deserves healing - but systemic biases and institutional racial and economic injustice create a reality where healing is inaccessible for many. To honor our value of healing as a human right, we have offered a Reduced Rate option since we opened our doors. Reduced acupuncture rates are available to anyone who qualifies for state programs like economic or healthcare assistance (such as SNAP, Medical Assistance, and MinnesotaCare).

Increased Access for BIPOC
As part of our Reduced Rate program, we also acknowledge that Black, Indigenous, and other people of color have often had barriers to accessing care. Because of this our Reduced Rate program is also open to any and all BIPOC individuals who desire care at our clinic.

Pay-it-Forward  Program

To help us continue making Reduced Rate appointments available and sustainable to established patients, individuals who are feeling abundant can choose to add an optional Pay It Forward add-on charge of $20 at the time of booking, payment, or by clicking the button below. 100% of these funds go towards financially sponsoring Reduced Rate appointments.

We have immense gratitude to you - our clients and our community -- for supporting our values-driven business. Your financial support and loyalty makes these offerings possible. Our efforts are continually evolving, and we will keep you informed of the steps we are taking as a business to create a more equitable reality. We welcome your feedback.

Community Acupuncture in the Twin Cities

Reduced rate, sliding scale, and low- or no-cost community acupuncture is provided by many of our trusted colleagues, and members of our own team, at clinics and pop-ups around the Twin Cities.

Community acupuncture, aka group acupuncture, is a style of treatment where patients receive care in a group setting. Patients typically sit in zero-gravity chairs or recliners for treatment, remain fully clothed, and receive treatment on the limbs, head, and ears. These treatments are provided at a significantly lower cost than private acupuncture.

This is a list of some of the local community acupuncture offerings here in Minneapolis and St. Paul that we recommend; please explore the websites of each organization for details about their services and pricing.
