New Moon Breathwork + Intention Setting

Join Shannon Schueler for a small group breathwork circle at our new Constellation Classroom. Steep yourself in the sweet energy of renewal, setting intentions and breathing with the New Moon.

Intention setting is a powerful way to guide how we show up in the world. We influence the deepest parts of ourselves when tuned into our intentions. 

Breathwork gives the thinking mind permission to rest as the wisdom of the body emerges. This innate wisdom creates fertile ground in the consciousness for intentions to be seeded, take root, and grow. Timing breathwork and intention setting with the monthly New Moon is…well…intentional!

New Moon breathwork includes monthly themes and curated playlists. In addition to supporting intention setting,  a 2025 study shows that practicing breathwork with music is uniquely effective in inducing altered states of consciousness - also referred to as a sense of “oceanic boundlessness” -  described as insightful, blissful, and an experience of unity. Group breathwork practices are potent as each breather’s unique energy mingles with the collective in a supportive environment.

No previous breathwork experience necessary.

New Moon Breathwork is facilitated with a trauma-informed approach. Each breather is invited to participate at the level that feels most supportive to them. Strong emotions or physical sensations may come up during breathwork. In some instances, it is appropriate to consider additional therapeutic support to process. 

This 90-min event will be split into four parts: 

  • Introduction, guided grounding, and intentions: 15 min

  • Laying down for gently guided breathwork with music: 30 min and rest 15 min 

  • Re-grounding and  journaling (optional intention-related prompt provided): 15 min

  • Optional sharing, witnessing, and asking questions: 15 min

What to bring: Dress in layers to support your comfort. There are enough yoga mats and blankets for everyone. However, you are welcome to bring additional supplies (more blankets, your favorite eye pillow, etc) that make you feel most comfortable and at ease.

FYI: You’ll be lying down on the floor for most of the session, with gentle guidance to begin and close.

Classes are $45 per attendee. Cancellations within the 24 hour period will not be refunded.

If you are in the first trimester of pregnancy, have a recent TBI or history with seizures, retinal detachment, or any other significant health issue you’d like Amy to be aware of, please make this information known to her prior to your participation via email. As always, please feel empowered to discuss breathwork with your physician if you are concerned about participating for any reason.
