Massage Therapist
Position Summary
Join the Constellation Acupuncture & Healing Arts (CAHA) Team! Constellation CAHA is queer, women-owned acupuncture and Chinese medicine clinic based in Northeast Minneapolis that provides high-quality and individualized patient care in a self-pay, private appointment model. We are seeking an additional massage therapist for our team to expand our massage and bodywork offerings.
Job Duties (not a complete list)
Develop and execute appropriate treatments for specific patient concerns using a variety of massage therapy and bodywork techniques.
Create individualized treatment plans and communicate them to patients, including clear recommendations regarding follow-up appointments, referrals, and other recommendations to promote, restore, or maintain good health.
Maintain detailed and complete electronic health records in accordance with HIPAA; update and export patient health records as necessary.
Collaborate with front desk staff in maintaining tidiness of the clinic, completing light cleaning tasks, restocking supplies, and completing turn-around of treatment rooms between patients.
Essential Education, Certifications, and Experience:
By the start date, completion of an accredited massage therapy training program
By the start date, active CPR or BLS certification
Essential Attributes
Experience with and interest in working with a diverse patient base, including people of varying body sizes, gender identities, gender presentations.
Awareness of trauma-informed care philosophies and practices.
Passionate about their work and motivated to build their patient base.

Functional Qualifications
Ability to freely access all areas of the clinic
Ability to perform massage therapy for multiple patients each shift
Ability to operate a computer comfortably to complete chart notes
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience as a practicing massage therapist preferred
Additional training in myofascial release and/or neuromuscular therapy strongly preferred
Proficiency with Apple operating systems.
Previous experience with online scheduling and EHR/EMR systems
Google Workspace proficiency, including Docs (word processing program), Sheets (spreadsheet program), and other Google applications
Typical Working Conditions
This role involves use of office equipment requiring manual dexterity, coordination, and sustained attention. Daily tasks include a mix of sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
Our clinic is located on the second floor and is accessible by elevator and stairs. Two all-gender restrooms are available on our floor.
Hours: 15-20 patient care hours/week. Weekday and weekends shifts available; at least one afternoon/evening and one weekend shift required. Additional team meetings as scheduled.
Compensation
Commission-based pay starting at 40% of employee’s collected appointment fees (averages to $45-$54/hour depending on appointment type) and $19 hourly for training/meetings. Constellation is a no-tipping establishment, and we set our rates to support a fair, living wage for our employees. W-2 employee status with paid PTO. Malpractice Insurance and all basic treatment supplies provided by the employer.
