Breathwork + Vocal Toning Workshop for Nervous System Regulation

Join us for Raise Your Voice! A Breathwork and Vocal Toning Workshop, facilitated by Shannon Schueler, RN. Connect to calm collectively through breath and sound - using your own instrument - the voice!

Breathwork

Breathwork is a general term that is used to describe multiple types of conscious breathing exercises. Breathwork is a powerful tool for moving energy to create space for healing in the body and in the consciousness.

Vocal Toning

Vocal toning is an act of creating sustained resonant sound vibration in the body through the voice. In simple terms, vocal toning invites your energy to be expressed through Oohs, Aahs, and Hums.

During this 2 hour workshop, you can expect to be welcomed in community. The first half of the workshop will begin with grounding and connection. We will move through introductory breathwork and vocal toning practices together as we explore the holistic benefits of a vocal toning practice.

The second half of the workshop includes a 30-40 minute guided breathwork meditation, incorporating vocal toning throughout. Experience the unique ways that vocal toning and breathwork compliment each other.

We will finish with a period of guided rest to integrate the practice. We will save time for questions and sharing after closing the breathwork and vocal toning experience.

Explore courageous ways to stimulate creativity, simultaneously soothing your nervous system. Whether you are new to breathwork and vocal toning, have years of experience, or fall somewhere in-between, this workshop is for you.

What to bring: Dress in layers to support your comfort. There are enough yoga mats and blankets for everyone. However, you are welcome to bring additional supplies (more blankets, your favorite eye pillow, etc) that make you feel most comfortable and at ease.

FYI: You’ll be lying down on the floor for most of the session, with gentle guidance to begin and close.
