Join us for an afternoon of community-style acupuncture treatments, available on a sliding scale of $15-$50. One hundred percent of proceeds will be donated to Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness. Since 1976, the Friends has worked to protect, preserve, and restore the wilderness character of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, the Quetico-Superior Ecosystem, and the Superior National Forest. Advocating for sound ecological principles and defending against activities that negatively impacting area waters, cultural resources, and human use and enjoyment of the region, the Friends is doing vital work to preserve these incredible natural resources for generations to come.
In community-style acupuncture treatments, patients are seated in recliner chairs together in a common space. Patients remain fully clothed and therapies are performed primarily on arms, legs, scalp, and ears. Treatments last around 45 minutes. We suggest wearing loose-fitting, comfy clothes so we can easily access your arms and legs!
Sign-up is required, and opens 60 days prior to event date. Please bring cash or check to pay for your treatment, so we can avoid card processing fees and give as much back to the organization as possible.
