Join Amy Kuretsky for a small group breathwork + writing class, meeting every other Tuesday evening at Constellation Acupuncture & Healing Arts.

We know that breathwork is a powerful experiential tool and process that allows deep self-exploration and transformation. But did you also know that breathwork opens up creative channels and pathways in deeply powerful ways? In this gathering we’ll be using the breath to open up our connection to our intuition and inner creativity and then spend dedicated time in our own personal writing practices to process what came up for us.

Come to the group with a topic you’d like to explore, question you’d like to dive into, or mess you’re hoping to untangle - OR, show up with nothing but an open heart and curious mind and use one of Amy’s writing prompts to guide your writing time.

Breathwork uses only the power of our own breath with the support of music and a group dynamic to access a non-ordinary state of consciousness. We will seek a better understanding of ourselves through an intentional breathing practice to go within into the deepest parts of ourselves and witness whatever we find there with love and compassion.

There’s significant power in coming together in a sacred container to breathe and open our hearts together as a group. This group dynamic allows you to care for yourself while you care for your community through group healing. Because this process can bring up intense emotions and strong physical experiences, please understand that issues arising from participation in Breathwork may require additional therapeutic or supportive interventions.

This 90-min event will be split into four parts: time to ground into our present truth and set intentions for our time together, time to lay down and breathe, time after the breathing to process what came up for us in our own personal writing practices, and lastly time to share, witness, and ask questions.

No previous breathwork experience necessary. Wear comfy and warm clothes, bring a yoga mat, plus an extra blanket or whatever makes you feel the most cozy and supported. Masking is optional, however taking a rapid test before arriving is requested – and also, Amy has done breathwork with a surgical mask on and reports it was fairly comfortable!

Classes are $50 per attendee and registration occurs over on our booking site (button below).

Please note that registration is non-refundable, however if something comes up and you are not able to make it to class you CAN transfer your registration to a future date at least 24 hours in advance of the class. Cancellations within the 24 hour period will not be refunded.

If you are in the first trimester of pregnancy, have a recent TBI or history with seizures, retinal detachment, or any other significant health issue you’d like Amy to be aware of, please make this information known to her prior to your participation via email. As always, please feel empowered to discuss breathwork with your physician if you are concerned about participating for any reason.

Fall Retreat: Release + Restore

Fall Retreat: Release + Restore

Join Amy Kuretsky and Kim Christensen of Constellation Acupuncture & Healing Arts at Wild Rice Retreat in Bayfield, Wisconsin for a 4-day, 3-night seasonal retreat based in Chinese medicine to support you in letting go.

Fall is the time of the year when daylight hours shorten and the weather becomes cooler, signaling a shift to a more yin state. Taking a cue from nature, we can see that this is time to turn more inward, taking stock of our lives and working to bring stability and structure to the things that nurture us most. From a Chinese medicine perspective, the season of autumn is associated with the element Metal.

The metal element invites us to hold on to what nourishes us and let go of what no longer does.

The act of letting go can be difficult; we are challenged to retain only what is needed, and release the rest. In this process, the metal element becomes stronger and more resilient, providing us with support for the long winter ahead.

Through small group workshops, guided experiences, and time to unwind in nature, this retreat provides the opportunity to turn your gaze inward, reflect, and release, allowing for deep restoration.

After a weekend of guided facilitation and heartfelt connection in nature, our hope is that you leave feeling lighter, grounded, more expansive, and have greater clarity on the priorities, boundaries, and practices that will serve you moving forward.

Breathwork + Writing Group

  • Constellation Acupuncture & Healing Arts (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Eastside Co-op + Constellation Acu: Winter Wellness with Chinese Medicine

The last in our Five Element Series, this workshop will explore ways to support health and wellbeing in winter through principles of Chinese medicine. The class will be taught by Kim Christensen, licensed acupuncturist and co-owner of Constellation Acupuncture & Healing Arts.

Cold, dark, and quiet, wintertime is a time of rest and recuperation in the natural world. During the wintertime, our energies reside more deeply in the body, gathering up strength for the coming spring. For many of us, though, wintertime seems to be filled with lots of hustle and bustle, like getting ready for the holiday season, or the societal pressure of setting New Year’s goals to get “back on track”.

According to the Chinese medicine five element system, each of the five seasons corresponds to a different element, energetic meridian, taste, emotion, and more. Winter corresponds to the Water element, representative of your foundation, storing the energy and resources that support you from birth to death and provide the basis for health and wellbeing. Related to the Kidney and Urinary Bladder, the Water element strongly influences the movement of water through our own bodies - it truly helps us stay in “flow”.

In this 60 minute workshop, we will explore the influence of the Water element in the season of winter and how this impacts body, mind, and spirit. You will learn actionable ways to support your health and wellbeing through food therapy, lifestyle practices, and self-acupressure, inviting greater ease through the seasonal transitions.

Eastside Co-op + Constellation Acu: Late Summer Wellness with Chinese Medicine

The third in our Five Element Series, this workshop will explore ways to support health and wellbeing in late summer through principles of Chinese medicine. The class will be taught by Kim Christensen, licensed acupuncturist and co-owner of Constellation Acupuncture & Healing Arts.

Lush, humid, and brimming with the bounty of the harvest, late summer has a different vibe than the early days of summer. That’s for good reason - late summer is a season unto itself! According to the Chinese medicine five element system, each of the five seasons corresponds to a different element, energetic meridian, taste, emotion, and more. Late summer corresponds to the Earth element, nurturing our digestive systems and our sense of “grounding”, and providing the ultimate source of nourishment and support.

In this 60 minute workshop, we will explore the influence of the Earth element in the season of late summer and how this impacts body, mind, and spirit. You will learn actionable ways to support your health and wellbeing through food therapy, lifestyle practices, and self-acupressure, inviting greater ease through the seasonal transitions.

Stay tuned for our upcoming Five Element series classes for fall and winter!

Yoga + Acupuncture at Yess Yoga

Yoga and acupuncture are a match made in the chillest of heavens. Whether you’re new to acupuncture, yoga or you love them both, this is an accessible and affordable way to combine these two healing modalities at once, each month at Yess Yoga in south Minneapolis.

This 90-minute trauma-informed yoga class will begin with a slow flow / yin yoga practice and conclude with an extended savasana needle nap. Together, the two complementary modalities will provide an opportunity for folks to relax and find balance. Tatum Fjerstad, a yoga teacher and licensed acupuncturist from Constellation Acupuncture & Healing Arts will be leading the yoga and providing the acupuncture.

All levels are welcome. Bring your own mat and water bottle. Masks encouraged.
